We Have Power

We Have Power is founded on the idea that if we each commit to a small action, together we will each make a big impact.

A Message to Our Community

The birth of We Have Power began following the results of the 2016 presidential election—a moment when we found ourselves feeling lost, confused, and very powerless. The political climate of 2024 carries an unsettling resemblance to that of the past, and with that it can bring similar feelings to the surface once again.

For us, We Have Power became a beacon of hope— an opportunity to counter the overwhelming sense of powerlessness that we, and those around us, were experiencing.

What started as a response to powerlessness has since evolved into a collective greater than we ever imagined, allowing us to amplify organizations that are protecting civil rights, aiding communities in need, and creating much-needed change. From 2016 to 2024, our mission remains unchanged: if we each commit to a small action, together we will make a BIG impact

Here’s how YOU can use your power this month:

1. 👪 INVITE OTHERS TO JOIN US! Encourage your friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, and community to sign up for We Have Power’s monthly newsletter. Help make our collective impact even bigger each month!

  • You can send this message to anyone who might be interested: Hey ____! I know these last couple weeks have been tough and confusing, and I know it sometimes may feel like we are powerless. I think you might be interested in We Have Power, which is an org that sends a monthly email featuring 1 volunteer and 1 donation opportunity to support organizations that fight for civil rights, combat climate change, and provide aid to those in need. Each month you can decide if you have a little time to volunteer or a little money to give. Their mission video (https://vimeo.com/315522211) explains it in detail, and if you’re interested, you can sign up to be added to the email list here: https://wehavepower.net/get-involved/
