ABOUT NATIONAL DOMESTIC VIOLENCE HOTLINE

24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, the National Domestic Violence Hotlineprovides essential tools and support to help survivors of domestic violence so they can live their lives free of abuse. Contacts to The Hotline can expect highly-trained, expert advocates to offer free, confidential, and compassionate support, crisis intervention information, education, and referral services in over 200 languages.

With nearly two-and-a-half decades of experience, The Hotline has answered over 7 million contacts, with services operated by expert advocates and other staff members dedicated to spreading education and awareness about domestic violence.

California’s Proposition 50, also known as the “Election Rigging Response Act,” is a countermeasure against mid-cycle partisan redistricting efforts in Texas and other states. If approved by voters, Proposition 50 would allow California to adopt a temporary congressional district map, drawn by the state legislature, from 2026 to 2030. Election Day for this Proposition is Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
